Your heavenly Father loves you with a perfect and beautiful love. He knows absolutely everything about you, there is nothing you can hide from Him. And He desires for you to understand His love. Are you accepting God’s abundant love?
Most days I wonder why God even bothers with a sinner like me. I mean really, I mess up WAY more than I get it right. And for some reason I must learn the same lesson over and over again! Why can’t I get it the first time? Because I am a sinner. But, God knows this, and He gently corrects me and redirects my path like a mother with a young toddler.
At times it is hard to accept God’s love. To think that He loves us not matter what. I do not know about you, but for me, there have been plenty in my life who did not love me just as I was. Plenty who left me, alone. After each departure I felt more worthless. “What is wrong with me?” I would think.
But our mighty and powerful God is not like mere humans. No! His is a perfect love! Psalm 139 is a chapter that shows just how well the Father know us and how close He is at all times.
Here He shows His abundant love for us.
- “You know my sitting down and getting up.”
- “You understand my thought”
- “There is not a word on my tongue…but behold…You know it”
- Your Father knows your every thought and move. He loves you so much that He takes note of it all!
- There is nowhere you can flee that God can not see and reach. No where that you can go where He is not with you.
Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall[a] on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;
12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
God answers David’s question in Jeremiah 23:24;
Can anyone hide himself in secret places, so I shall not see him?’ says the Lord; ‘Do I not fill heaven and earth?
Now let me show you how much you Father loves you
He formed you piece by piece before anyone even knew about you. Before you were born He saw your worth. He designed a perfect and wonderful plan for you life, all written, though there were yet no days. He took the time to fashion your whole being. Each little part. He loves you so very much.
“How precious also are your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them. If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand.” Psalm 139:17-18
How beautiful is that? Oh how my heart swells at those words! Is it possible that someone could love me so much? Yes!
