Best Toddler Gifts and Toys for Christmas
Walking to 24 Months
These are some of the Best Toddler Gifts and Toys that you can give to those wobbly cute and crazy kids that you love! 🙂 We own and love everything on this list! Best of all these toys have made it through one toddler and still getting used with the second toddler. Can I get a high five for toys that last?
I’ll be honest and say that I do not like toys being everywhere. Actually, it drives me crazy. So, that means we do not have a whole heap of toys. I try to be very intentional about what comes in our home because I don’t want to make more space for toys. Or mess rather! Lol! All that to say, these toys not only last, but most of them are learning type toys also.
Now – Let’s get on to the Best Toddler Gifts and Toys for Christmas!
My kids absolutely love these! My 5 year old happily sits and plays with her little sister when we break out these mega blocks. Best of all, you don’t have to worry about them putting them into their mouths or stepping on them in the middle of the night like the little legos. 🙂 We are going to buy a 2nd set this year for my girls because they both love playing with them.
I tell my husband all the time there are two things you can never have enough of…books and puzzles. 🙂 These chunky Melissa and Doug puzzles are amazing for Toddlers, to PreSchoolers, and even my Kindergartener loves them. Here is a whole selection of Toddler approved ones.
This is another one that my older daughter will play with the toddler. It’s so amazing how quickly these babies catch on. She loves stacking them and knocking them over, or pretending to drink out of the cup, or just throw them. 🙂
From baby to toddler, these still make the list of the best toddler gifts and toys. One of my favorite things is that they clip on. We have clipped on her car seat strap, stroller strap and an extra one in the diaper bag. Clipping them on means she doesn’t throw them. Can you tell she likes throwing things?
What is it about toddlers and their love for pushing things around the house? Might as well give them something that doesn’t scratch the floor and makes fun sounds. Other than walking with this toy, our favorite part is the phone. #Bee loves jabbering into the toy phone and putting up to your ear. So cute!
Another toy older kids and younger kids can play with together, Yay!! My 5-year-old and toddler play kitchen together a lot! I will admit there is a bit of squabbling about the toddler knocking over her food set up but isn’t that just another learning opportunity? lol!
Don’t forget the play food! So much fun!
How awesome is this?! A personalized puzzle with your child’s name! I’ll admit, we do not have one of these, but it may be going on our Christmas list as well. 🙂 This is good for toddlers, preschoolers, and Early Elementary kids alike.
I’ve already told you that my toddler likes to throw things. So, why wouldn’t she have this? We have this exact set and she loves the different feel of the balls and to…well…throw them. 🙂
We’ve had this set of blocks since my 5-year-old was a baby. They are soft blocks which work great for young toddlers. They chew on them, throw them, stack them. It’s all fun. They’re colorful have animals and numbers on them and are easily stacked.
This is a fun learning toy that lets them place the large coins into the bank over and over. The bank counts the coins aloud as they insert them. My 16-month-old plays with this often, even though she can’t always get the coins in the slot. This works on those finer movements and control.
This is the other toy on this list that we do not personally own, but it’s on the Christmas list! Doesn’t this just look so much fun! Put your kids outside, in the yard or back porch, and let them play in the water. They’ll love it. It’s also something I know my 5-year-old will join in on the fun, and I love anything that gets them playing together!
Isn’t this Nativity set awesome! This set is always on the bestseller list every year.
Don’t worry, if you don’t want to get a set that’s more year round, they have a lot to choose from. I recently saw this one and love it!
Here’s a link to all the Little People Sets. There’s something for everyone!
I have to confess that this toy was actually bought for my older daughter when she was a preschooler, but my toddler has taken it over. She loves putting the doll in the stroller and pushing it around the house. She’s 16 months old. So there may be a lot of baby dolls in my future. Lol!
I kept this list short and sweet on purpose. I told y’all I don’t like having toys all over my house. So, if we have toys, it’s because we really love them. Also, it’s important they double serve as learning and they’re durable.
What would you add to this list? How many of these do you already own?
I love Christmas time! I hope this helps make your shopping easier.
